Who We Are

At Great Expectations, we are focused on providing your child with a solid foundation in education while keeping learning fun!

Miss Tasha has been teaching Pre-K for the past 4 years. She started out at a local daycare center located in Fremont, NH before opening Great Expectations Preschool.

Formerly, she taught as a substitute teacher at Epping Elementary School and also completed her internship and practicum in one of their first grade classrooms.

Miss Tasha obtained her BA in Elementary Education and is certified as a highly qualified teacher through the NH Board of Education. She also holds her level 6 Early Childhood Credential through the state of NH.

Our curriculum focuses on the following developmental domains:
  • Language
  • Cognitive Development (mathematical thinking and science & discovery)
  • Creative Expression
  • Social Development
  • Emotional Development
  • Physical Development

To introduce your child to handwriting we use the Handwriting Without Tears®  program.

Handwriting Without Tears® is an award-winning program developed in response to an overwhelming request for hands-on teaching materials and strategies to make learning both fun and easy for Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten students. It utilizes a multi-sensory approach that addresses different learning styles and invites active participation while teaching the easiest skills first and then building on that knowledge. There is no assumption of prior knowledge, which allows for every child to succeed.

Why Us?

Great Expectations stands out from the rest! We have a full day pre-k program as opposed to the 2 1/2 hour programs offered by other local preschools. Your child will be introduced to literacy and mathematical concepts as well as handwriting using the program Handwriting Without Tears that is currently used in the public school systems. We have a unique approach to learning that children really enjoy!

Research has shown that high-quality pre-kindergarten can have significant, lasting, benefits for children.

Our objective is to provide a safe, fun stimulating, and family oriented preschool program that allows parents to work worry free, knowing their children are in the best care.

We achieve this objective by working towards the following goals:

  • Ensuring a child’s first experience outside the home is positive by providing a loving and supportive environment that is safe and conducive to learning.
  • Advancing learning by utilizing appropriate developmental curriculum and inspiring children to discover the world around them.
  • Encouraging social, emotional, physical, and mental growth, while also preparing children mentally and emotionally for elementary school.

We take pride in creating an environment where children feel safe and loved; where they can learn about their emotions and gain social skills and get a jump start on their education!
